Rotary Youth Exchange Students head overseas for 12 months on exchange.

Rotary Youth Exchange

Rotarians from Bowral-Mittagong Rotary Club and Ashers Parents were there at Canberra Airport on the 20th January to farewell Asher Aylett as he prepared to depart to Osaka Japan to begin his 12 month student exchange. Bowral-Mittagong Rotary club has sent many students on exchange and have hosted just as many overseas students.

Asher (far right) was accompanied by six other exchange students on the first leg of his flight to Sydney before separating and going off to their chosen countries.
Students learn a new language, discover another culture, and truly become global citizens. Exchanges for students ages 15-16 are sponsored by Rotary clubs in more than 100 countries.
Asher is seen here on his arrival in Osaka Japan and being greeted by his host Rotary club and his host family.
